We understand that there are already countless RPG systems that have been created, and are being actively used not only by traditional role-players, but by RPG video games as well.


Most of these systems make great claims, such as "first system to", "finally a system that", and "years of experience".  Quite frankly we've lost count how many times we've heard these claims, and many more.  Most of them have only two pages worth of rules, and focus on one particular "thing" that is important to the author.


Additionally, most RPG systems have a "sweet spot" in power level where the rules of the game work best, or you are limited to a specific power level.  With Agonist, you can model characters, monsters, equipment, etc. of any power level without the complexity skyrocketing, nor the system breaking.


Without making such gregarious claims as previously described, we believe Agonist will be a creative system that is fun, easy to use, and can model any character desired without being too rules-lite such that you might as well not be using any rules at all, and not too rules-heavy such that play is bogged down with looking up countless conditional rules.


Finally, the Agonist system rules can easily be translated for use in electronic products such as video games and character builders
